CHAMPION AGRICULTURAL ENVIRONMENT (CFE), in collaboration with the NFU, is organizing a soil and water event on Wednesday November 27 at Café Ambio, Auction Mart, Crooklands, LA7 7FP. Registration is from 9:30 am with the event starting at 10:00 am until 2:30 pm with a free light lunch provided.
The event will explore CFE’s mantra of how to manage land to improve productivity while providing a better natural environment.
Northern Area CFE Coordinator Fraser Hugill said: “The event will be an opportunity to learn from real-life examples of how farmers, academics and the broader supply chain are working to improve agricultural productivity in a way that improves the natural environment. ”
“Water is something this region knows well, there are great examples of how farmers and organizations are working together to manage water that we can all learn from. Soil is now in the foreground, it is the key to everything we do as farmers and an area where there is much to learn about arable and livestock farms.
