The alternate universes of Ultra Beasts have come to life with stunning new promotional artwork.
This weekend, the Pokemon Centers of Japan kicked off a new “Rainbow Rocket” Takeover event, in which new Rainbow Rocket merchandise flooded store shelves. Special banners were hung in all stores, announcing that the evil Pokemon group had taken over stores until March.

While thousands of Pokemon fans flocked to stores for the start of the Rainbow Rocket event, that’s not what gets many fans talking. The Pokémon Centers also hung a new poster that showed the powerful and dangerous Ultra Beasts in their natural environment, as well as a date for a mysterious new event “Fall of the Ultra Beasts”.
Ultra Beasts are a new type of Pokémon that live in alternate worlds accessible through Ultra Space. Each Ultra Beast lives in their own alternate world, some of which are believed to be very similar to ours. Players had the chance to visit some of these worlds in Pokemon Ultra Sun and Ultra Moon, discovering dangerous wasteland, volcanic mountains, and even serene forests while researching various Ultra Beasts.
The new poster (which you can see below) gives players a breathtaking new take on the worlds of the Ultra Beasts, including a few we’ve never seen before. The poster shows new looks at the worlds of Stakataka and Blacephalon, the two new Ultra Beasts seen in Pokemon Ultra Sun and Ultra Moon. These two Pokémon only appeared in the real world, so we never saw where they came from.

Some Pokemon fans have gotten excited about the new âFall of the Ultra Beastsâ event, but they should probably temper their expectations. The new poster mentions that the new Ultra Beast merchandise will be released on March 24. It’s possible we’ll see a new Ultra Beast giveaway as part of the event, but it’s equally likely that this will be limited to Japan only.
Hopefully, the Pokemon Company will release a high-resolution version of this gorgeous new artwork soon, so players around the world can marvel at the weird new worlds of Pokemon.
